London Street Art
Going back to the origins of Street Art. Materials : Chalk and charcoal
In my childhood times, it was common to see people drawing religious motives in charcoal on the pavements as a form of begging. I used to admire this in the centre of Lisbon until it totally disappeared by the time I was a teenager.
At the age of 18, with an urge to travel, my lack of money and inspired by spiritual literature, I decided to follow the ancient ideas and orders of monks who chose their spiritual path by living only on what they could get through charity.
I launched myself into the experience of travelling all over Europe, combining Art, adventure, spirituality, other ancient philosophical practices and ways of life into the modern world.
A few years after under the pressure of opposite forces to these practices, I decided to give it up and take other ways.
By the year of 2013, London inspired me again to go back to this way of Art. The interaction with the people on the streets and my will to inspire people to different approaches to life, (erased by the mainstream consumer society,) is my motivation to continue this practice.
